Teacher Tips
Have you found a great way to connect with or motivate your VLA students? Do you have a resource that your students have found helpful when completing a VLA unit of study? This is the place to share it! Below is a sample of the tips that will be found in this section.
Student Welcome Message As new students are added to your VLA teacher account, you may want to share some general information and guidelines with them. You wouldn't begin a school year in your classroom without laying out the expectations, and teaching online is no different. Below is a sample welcome email that could be sent to each new student. I created a welcome message of my own, and I saved it as a Word file on my computer. Each time I see a new student on my list, I open the file, change the student name and course name, copy, and pasted it into a VLA email message to the student. This is a quick way to communicate what I expect from the student and how I am offering to help the student.
If you have teaching tips to share, please email them to me at patty.ferrell@omeresa.net, or post a comment to this blog. I'll try to pass those tips along as quickly as possible.
