Student Expiration Dates

If you've ever had a student who waited until the last minute to submit all of his or her VLA work, you've probably wondered if there was a better way to help students pace themselves. One of the best ways to do this is to make your students aware of the date their licenses will expire. You can find this in two places. First, you can click a student's name from your student list on the left side of your teacher home page. At the top of the class screen that appears you will see the student's course start date and license end date. Usually these two dates are 365 days apart. However, a student may have added your class after the license cycle started. Reminding the student of his or her end date may help them pace the work that needs to be completed.

If you want to check the license end date for more than one student, you can use the Class Count Report option on your teacher home page. You will find this link directly below your student list. Check the Student Name and Expiration Date boxes. Then click the Run Report Button. The image below shows what needs to be checked. Click anywhere on the image to enlarge it.

When the report appears, you will have a concise list of your students along with their license end dates.

Reminder: If you have any helpful tips and tricks to share, please email them to patty.ferrell@omeresa.net.
