At our first local VLA teacher retooling workshop, someone asked if deleting messages from a teacher account would also delete the messages from the students' accounts.

If you click the closed envelope icon in the upper right corner of your teacher screen, you will be taken to your teacher message center. You can choose to view sent messages, messages received, or all messages. This message center can act as your anecdotal record center. Keeping messages from students for a reasonable amount of time is a good way to keep a record of your communication with them.
You will find a Delete button next to each message. If you click this Delete button, you will delete the message from your screen and the student's screen. So be sure to use the Delete button wisely.
