Amended Substitute Senate Bill 311, also known as the Ohio Core, requires integration of economics and financial literacy within social studies classes or another class. The financial literacy requirement of the Ohio Core (Am. Sub. S.B. 311) is effective with freshmen who enroll in high school on or after July 1, 2010 – the graduating class of 2014.
