Time Marches On....
Teachers,
March has arrived and it's a good time to remind your students to make sure they keep working in case they have a deadline to complete their coursework by the end of this school year. You can send out a blanket email to all your students and just encourage them to check with their school regarding a deadline and also to encourage them to continue to work on their lessons.
As a March activity, you can ask your students to write about the history of St. Patrick's Day. Have them complete this for bonus points either through the internal email system or the threaded discussion. If they can tell you about it, award them 3 bonus points on their next lesson turned in for a grade. It's a good incentive and the kids seem to really enjoy the chance to earn some bonus points. Be creative!
