Release of Spring 2025 OST and AASCD Test Items The Practice Test Site is now updated with Spring 2025 Ohio’s State Tests (OST) and Alternate Assessment for Students with the Most Significant Cognitive Disabilities (AASCD) released items. Item Release Scoring Guides for the OST items and AASCD items will be available on the test portal as well. Each of the scoring guides contains associated learning standards, answer keys, scoring rubrics, sample student responses, and notes on scoring with rationales that describe why response options are correct or incorrect. In addition, the scoring guides contain information about Depth of Knowledge (DOK) for OST mathematics, English language arts and social studies, Cognitive Demand (CD) for OST science, and Complexity Levels for AASCD. The OST and AASCD released test items will be added to the Assessment Authoring platform on Aug. 8. New DEW Web Page Readiness Assessments and Assessment Authoring Readiness Assessments and Assessment Authoring are tools developed by the Office of Assessment and housed on the test portal to support educators. These assessment systems are designed to help educators understand, report, and respond appropriately to student knowledge and skills throughout the year and create their own assessments using a familiar testing platform. Both assessment systems allow educators access to a large bank of Ohio released test questions which are aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards.  Desmos Calculator 2025 Updates Updates about the Desmos calculator beginning in the 2025-26 school year for OSTs can be found in the test portal.
